A New Day Filled with Blessings

Good morning, everyone! Today is a new day filled with blessings, correct?

Today will be a blessing-filled day!

Let's start with what I had for dinner last night. That's chicken and chayote in coconut milk. You can get the recipe here.

Scripture

As always, I start my day with my devotion. Today's reading talked about giving in our time of need. This tooth has been taking a toll on our budget. I also have other responsibilities and I promised my grandma that I would give her some money in time for her trip to the province. It's hard but I know God will Provide! I will give her the money over the weekend knowing God will provide for our bills.

2 Corinthians 9:12

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Verse from biblegateway.com

I read two devotional books. One is from Joel Osteen and the other from Charles Stanley.

My other reading talks about Friends and Your Faith. It's saying that if you do not talk to your friends about your problems, you are being proud and pride goes before destruction.

It's my best friend of 30 years' birthday today. We've already given her gifts but I would like to send her an email saying how much I appreciate her and love her. She lives so far away from us and we rarely see each other but the miles and time are not a problem.

Take the time to appreciate the people you love.

Like I said in my first post, I need to explore different aspects of my life and improve them for my journey to Perfect Health. This is the relationships side of that journey.

I will talk about these and more in another post. I need to get my blood pumping this morning. Tonight, we will go to the dentist and I will let you know how we will proceed.

God bless you all and I proclaim explosive blessings upon the lives of every reader here, in Jesus' name!

Stay Sane and Calm with Your Family During the Covid-19 Home Quarantine/Lockdown

Photo by cottonbro If you're already experiencing it, you'd know that isolation creates a huge impact on people with a healthy mental status. Now, imagine what it does to people suffering from anxiety. If you or you live with someone experiencing anxiety during this lockdown period, here are a few ways you can work together as a family to ease anxiety symptoms. If you have kids, these are also useful so you can get through the lockdown/home quarantine calmly.  Ignore the things you can't control and focus on the things that you CAN control What you can't control: the virus what is being reported in the media policies and actions of the government financial market What you can control: washing your hands disinfecting your house regularly social distancing eating healthy food to boost your immunity engaging in positive activities how you react to the news you read  how you react to your daily situation Focus your energy on these things t...

The Perfect Health Project

Hi! If you are new to this place, welcome! If you have been following me through my other blogs ( 240baon , bitsandtreats  and recipebox ), thank you for taking the time to check this new project of mine. I'm starting this project because I want to achieve perfect health. That simple. Perfect health for me is being disease-free, pain-free, being able to serve God, being able to take care of myself, my family and friends; being able to serve other people and touch other people's lives; being able to exercise, play, have fun with my loved ones; being able to work and do the things that I want to do without limits. This is my idea of a perfect health. My story I was a very sickly child. I was always absent from school days to weeks at a time. When I entered high school, it became worse. I was enrolled in a Science school and the pressure and work load was just too much for my body. I was diagnosed with costochondritis. Simply put, my sternum was inflamed from carrying suc...

How Baking Helps You To Become a Better Person

Baking is underrated. I feel that so many people believe it's something that only moms and grandmas do. Baking has a lot of wonderful benefits for emotional, physical and mental health. Here are some of them: Baking helps you calm down Baking requires focus. Have you heard of the saying that baking is a science? Unlike cooking that can be adjusted at any time, baking requires the exact amount of ingredients and exact techniques in every step for you to have good results. Concentrating on each step to make a beautiful cake means you don't have time to think about the other million things going through your mind. If you have too much on your mind, take a moment and bake something. Even if it's just an easy muffin or some delicious homemade bread, you can be sure to give your mind and body a break from all the stressors keeping you down. You might even be able to solve that problem you've been worrying about or look at things from a fresh perspective after you fin...
