My Diet

I haven't been active in the blog because I've been undergoing a juice detox. Well, semi. I still need to find a good schedule and funds to be able to do this properly. Fruits and vegetables in Manila are expensive so I can only do juice fasts in the morning. My longest fast has been up to 17 hours. I'll gradually make that number higher. I've been lethargic and my face is breaking out into angry pimples because of the detox.

Here's the combination of vegetables I use for my breakfast juice:

carrots
broccoli
celery
turmeric
beets
calamansi
cucumber

Sometimes I put watermelon or melon in when I need to "get rid" of them already as they are already too ripe. But, I read from Chris' blog (www.chrisbeatcancer.com) that the enzymes needed to digest fruits and vegetables differ so he doesn't mix them. I, on the other hand, usually don't have enough vegetables to make one 8 oz glass of juice so I make do with what I have.

Juicing can be very expensive as you need about 5 carrots, 5 celery sticks and 1/4 beet to make a glass of juice and that's depending on your juicer. If you have a powerful juicer then maybe you'll get about 12 oz of juice.

I got a 3D juicer and I'm not very happy with it. It stops a lot and has a hard time juicing carrots. I was juicing mango slices this morning and the motor overheated and stopped. So, don't get a 3D juicer.

I also do a lot of cardio, lots of brisk walking and lots of chores. I read this morning that the key to being healthy is to avoid sitting for long periods. So, I go around the house and do random chores. I've also been cooking a lot. I'm enjoying my time in the kitchen. Weird, I know since I haven't been eating "normal" meals. I've been eating a lot of raw, plant-based foods. My only "normal" meal is lunch and sometimes dinner, when I run out of vegetables. I don't eat meat. I've been staying away from it to reduce inflammation from my body. I've been eating seafood though because I need the zinc and the Omega-3.

Some of my meals included homemade okoy/ukoy, sinigang na hipon and last night I cooked some veggies in coconut cream with crabs. We eat a combination of brown and white rice. My rice intake has been reduced to half a cup per meal.

Here are some photos:

I'll post the recipes in my food blog soon.

I've also been doing the Healing Codes regularly. So far, I've been stress-free. I'm very happy with my health progress. I can't undo what stress has done to my body over the years in just one night but I am willing to do the work.

I listened to Dr. Ben Johnson's Live seminar this morning and I've learned a lot. Guys, if you are sick, if you have cancer, I recommend you look him up. Stop poisoning your body with chemo and radiation. By the way, did you know that every box of chemo has a black box warning that says it causes cancer? Not that it can cause cancer but it DOES! I suggest you take back control of your body and your health right now.

I'll post more of progress in the coming days. In the mean time, I'm on Instagram (LifebyLadyE) if you want to see what I've been eating and you can also always just leave a comment in this blog.

The Perfect Health Project

Hi! If you are new to this place, welcome! If you have been following me through my other blogs ( 240baon , bitsandtreats  and recipebox ), thank you for taking the time to check this new project of mine. I'm starting this project because I want to achieve perfect health. That simple. Perfect health for me is being disease-free, pain-free, being able to serve God, being able to take care of myself, my family and friends; being able to serve other people and touch other people's lives; being able to exercise, play, have fun with my loved ones; being able to work and do the things that I want to do without limits. This is my idea of a perfect health. My story I was a very sickly child. I was always absent from school days to weeks at a time. When I entered high school, it became worse. I was enrolled in a Science school and the pressure and work load was just too much for my body. I was diagnosed with costochondritis. Simply put, my sternum was inflamed from carrying suc...
